We can equally suggest that Janet knows Sam quite well and if she even thought of telling Cassie that Sam baked the cake, that must mean that she knows Sam is capable of it. :)

I do agree with you, by the way - Sam is certainly capable of cooking, but she doesn't do haute cuisine because she doesn't have the time/patience/inclination. I've seen some people suggest that the trauma of finding out her mother had been killed while she was baking cookies was enough to make her hate cooking/baking, but I like to call that fanon for a reason. :)

I never noticed the pics - thanks for that! Although the same reasoning that suggests here that Sam is older makes the twins idea a bit unlikely, in my opinion. I don't think Jacob was so boy-obsessed that a set of twins, a boy and a girl, wouldn't be a good enough because the girl was born first.
