Hammond (and Teal'c) Alphabet Soup

The poll actually turned out to be pretty even in terms of now vs. later, but the later votes won out, in the end. Hammond Alphabet Soup will be delayed to give us all time to do it right.

With that in mind, I have two - well, three requests:

1. A little extra time is a good thing, but too much time might be... too much of a good thing? That analogy doesn't work too well. :) But I would like to have Hammond Alphabet Soup go up, say, in the last week of July. Perhaps on the 29th? 30 days later is appropriate, I think.

A few of you, in the previous post, mentioned various ficathons in the fandom. Could you please comment here and tell what dates they're due, so we can see if this will work out without clashing?

2. Since we've got enough advance notice for this, I would appreciate a little help in keyword suggestions - some of mine aren't very inspired! So please comment here with keyword ideas: T is for time travel and Teal'c and Texas, K is for Kinsey and Keyla, S is for SGC and SG-1, P is for Pentagon and protocol, and so on. I'll gather them all and use them in the claims post when it goes up. (Next week, perhaps? After Gen Fic Day?)

And here's request three, which is actually about Teal'c Alphabet Soup:

3. Teal'c Alphabet Soup will be served on July 8, in honor of Gen Fic Day. At this time, I still have three letters left unclaimed. I will open those three letters to authors wanting seconds tomorrow (and hooray for those of you who have already finished yours!), but to be honest, I would really be happy if we had twenty-six individual authors.

So please, mention this to your flists! Send them here if they want to write 100 words on Teal'c by next Tuesday. Let's show our Jaffa some real love. :)

There's also the whimsical route. Like seeing if anyone actually would take up the challenge of using unicorns or truffles as the basis of a story.

A is for apple
B is for bee
C is for collateral damage
D is for dance
E is for edict
F is for family
G is for glad
H is for horror
I is for icy
J is for jazz
K is for knowledge
L is for lake
M is for music
N is for nature
O is for omen
P is for pal
Q is for quest
R is for rules
S is for stalwart
T is for truffle
U is for unicorn
V is for valiant
W is for watchful
X is for x-ray
Y is for yesterday
Z is for zebra

*ahem* I'll show myself out now.

I find it difficult to imagine someone doing a defining Hammond ficlet with unicorn or truffle, but the fandom never fails to amaze me... :)

And some of these aren't whimsical at all.

Hey you never know what horrors are treasures might be around an unexpected corner. ;) Still, something like stalwart seems a little more, uh, usable.
