Happy SG-1 Gen Fic Day!
It's Gen Fic Day!
We're celebrating SG-1 and gen today! Comment here (or at LJ) with links to new fic and older fic, recs, meta, picspam, vids: anything, as long as it's gen and related to SG-1. Spur-of-the-moment commentfic is welcome, too. :)

As part of SG-1 Gen Fic Day, we are also serving Janet Alphabet Soup. (Links to previous Alphabet Soups are here.) If you're helping us make Janet Alphabet Soup, please read the instructions before posting your link.
All fic recs are welcome, of course, but in honor of Janet Alphabet Soup, we are specifically seeking older Janet fic - as extra seasoning, perhaps. :) If you've written gen Janet fic, or have a particular favorite Janet fic you want to rec, please leave a comment with a link. Shameless self-promotion is welcome, too!
(Ordinarily, we ask that you don't re-link to a story that's been listed at previous Gen Fic Days, but if it's a Janet fic, we'll make an exception.)
Sometime tomorrow, I'll post a round-up of all the Gen Fic Day links as well as the complete anthology of Janet Alphabet Soup. (The complete anthology, mind - no more excerpts due to exceeding post limits, whee!)

J is for Janet, Gift from God
Daniel had looked it up once. "Janet" meant gift from god. He watched her work on Teal'c. Face focused, the pain he knew she felt contained, compartmentalized, tucked away. Deft hands wielded instruments; her strong voice snapped out orders, and, bit by bit, she helped Teal'c climb back from the abyss.
Finally the alarms quieted, staff drifted to other duties, Teal'c slept peacefully in his bed. Janet stood alone, head bowed, hand resting on Teal'c's shoulder.
Daniel touched the tear on her face, saddened when her hand passed through him as she brushed it away. Janet would look after them.
