April: fandom, fic, recs

Yep, April was quiet. Well, for a relative given of "quiet," I suppose. Here's the roundup:

jacksamfriends for the win! Kudos to aurora_novarum for putting together a ficathon aimed specifically at gen Jack and Sam friendship! My own contribution was Reciprocal Regard. There was also phoenix_gate, which celebrated those characters who have either died or been relegated to a shelf on the writer's storage closet. Great stuff all round. And tealc_ficathon is due at the end of the week, eep! Hopefully, my own fic will be ready to be sent to beta tonight.

Over at redial_the_gate, this week marks the end of our rewatch of S4. The icon challenge is already up, and in the next two weeks, we'll have a trivia quiz and sign-ups for recaps and meta for S5 and any leftover meta for S4. Sounds like the perfect time to join the comm, if you're not there already! Redial is fandom at its best, so go join the glee!

Also: SG-1 Gen Fic Day will be on May 18th, and will include Janet Alphabet Soup. (I'm particularly excited that I should be able to get the entire soup anthology completely in a single entry, instead of excerpting longer contributions and linking to individual journals!) Here's hoping we'll get not only great Little Doc fic, but other gen fic as well - and don't forget the recs! :)
