This month was again quiet, mostly because I was struggling with [livejournal.com profile] stargate_summer. I've given up on the ficathon, even if I haven't abandoned the fic, but I am offering no estimates on when (or if) it will be done!

Those who are better at deadlines than me :) did get their [livejournal.com profile] stargate_summer fics done, and the comm is slowly releasing these stories, one week at a time. There have been three posted so far - none are gen yet, but I'm still optimistic!

[livejournal.com profile] suzannemarie started [livejournal.com profile] one_prompt, an interesting comm for writing multiple fics to a single prompt and enjoying the diverse results. I believe the first prompt is going up this week - possibly even today!

[info - community]sg1genrecs is humming nicely along - I'm very pleased to see more and more people watching. Don't forget, reccers are always welcome!

And on the sillier side of the fandom, I challenged people to write badfic summaries for SG-1 episodes. We have 32 episodes done so far! If you care to participate - Zombies and Furlings and weddings, oh my! - then head over to entry and join the fun!

I managed only one fic in June, and I made it by only an hour or two! :) Turn Left at the Lintel is hopefully classic team adventure. ~1,500 words, rated G.

This month, my two categories over at [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec were Team (big surprise there, huh?) and Cassie, who certainly needs more fic and more recs! The links below lead to the rec archive, but they were all originally posted at [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec.

Team

For some reason, this was fluff month for teamy goodness! Nobody seemed to mind so much. :) I'll do drama in a month or so, just for contrast.

Brush Up Your Shakespeare, SG-1, by Wishfulaces (PG)

Grounded, by Lilyleia (G)

Stormy Weather, by Surrealis (PG)

SG-1 and the Fuzzy Dinosaurs, by Lokei (G)

Ganging Up, by Pepper (PG)

Downtime, by Kellifer (G)

Previous team recs...? Um. ::shuffles feet:: Well, this is the ninth time I've recced this category. May I be permitted a bit of smugness for turning Team into a regular slot? The last time I recced it was back in December, and the entry there includes links to the rest.

Cassie

The Family You Choose, by Chocolatekettle (G)

Pearl in the Shell, by Matt (PG)

Getting Through It, by JD_Junkie (PG)

Five Things Cassie Fraiser thinks about SG-1, by Majorsamfan (PG)

The Other Side of the Time Loop, by Yvi (PG-13)

Previous Cassie-centric recs:

Next Steps, by Paian (G). Glorious futurefic!

Tho’ Always Under Alter’d Skies, by Niamaea (PG). Cassie, Sam, and Daniel in the wake of Heroes.

Stop the Presses, by Redbyrd (PG). One of Redbyrd's excellent OC fics, in which a reporter tries to interview Casse.

Team Five Things, by Abyssis (G to PG-13). Includes a lovely Cassie Five things in the mix.

I did not include fics in which Cassie plays only a very minor role, but if you're interested, scroll through the Cassie tags.

::insert regular encouragement to sign up to rec here::

The next two will be :)

Well, if you count 'Sam and Martouf and Jolinar have to work through some stuff and there's UST and a kiss, but mostly, Sam is very confused and going on adventures and having Issues' - that would be mine.

But the other, being posted next week, is straight gen.

You are a bad influence. I was wondering whether to go more into Sam/Martouf and then thought 'nah, let's keep it at canon level'.

Interestingly, both next stories will be Sam-centric and set in season 2 after "In the Line of Duty". That's a complete co-incidence.

Yes, indeed. It's up now.

Eeek!
