I love how we can put different personal spin on the same events, don't you? I saw the scenes in Secrets/The Tok'ra as Sam's frustration that Jacob won't accept that she's happy with what she's done on her own instead of accepting the gifts that he offers her. As you say, that kind of subtlety can easily be interpreted in different ways. And that's what makes it all so much fun! :)
