[info]redial_the_gate does Lifeboat later today, with a recap by [personal profile] majorsamfan (the international redial chat log is here). In the meantime, here are some meandering thoughts of my own:

Watching MS chew the scenery is so much fun. :) And Teryl Rothery stayed right with him all along. Keenan was definitely my favorite.

Beige uniforms with high collars, blue uniforms with V-necks. Wonder which ones are the redshirts.

If the ship crashed so long ago that one of the dead people has dessicated into a skeleton, how long has Pharrin been alone? Well, for a relative definition of alone, I suppose. From what Pharrin says later, all the pods in a row are linked to a power source. Maybe that one failed somewhere in the decades en route...? Don't see how that would work.

I love the way Teal'c first finds Jack, then Sam, then Daniel (although Sam was with him and was closest) - that makes absolute military sense.

TEAMY GOODNESS. :D This is the ep that excuses all the "team hovers anxiously near ill teammate's bedside" tropes, hee!

Janet specifically refers to a female personality. How much fun would it have been to watch that reaction?

"Small woman." Hee hee hee.

I want comment fic about this ep from the POV of the med guy who has this utterly straight-faced exchange with Daniel:

Martice in Daniel: "I am, ordinarily, a very rational man."

Med guy: "Of course you are, Doctor Jackson."

Martice: "I am the sovereign of Talthus! My name is Martice!"

Med guy: "Beg your pardon, sir."
Awesome. I think Redbyrd or Aurora should start writing this immediately. Or, y'know, anyone else. :)

I admire the way RDA is actually in very few scenes yet manages to establish a steady presence with a few reaction shots.

Teal'c is awesome as usual, and I adore Sam conscientiously keeping up the technobabble while Teal'c ambushes Pharrin.

On a more serious note: why doesn't SG-1 consult its allies to help others sometimes? The Asgard might have been able to supply clones with DNA from the dead bodies. Harlan might have been able to transfer those consciousnesses into robot bodies (although the thought of Martice being essentially immortal is not, I confess, appealing). I do wish we could see the SGC using all the resources at its disposal sometimes.
