This is the only political post I am going to make here, ever. I treasure LJ as my fandom place, and I'll be very happy when things (hopefully) return to status quo.
But in the meantime, here is four minutes of pure delight that is guaranteed to make you smile: the kids of Ron Clark Academy, Atlanta, performing You Can Vote However You Like. These 12-year-olds researched the candidates' views and wrote the lyrics themselves. It's non-partisan: both sides are represented.
Look at the sheer joy on these kids' faces. They're intelligent and talented and having the time of their lives. Aren't they absolutely delicious?
The lyrics are a little hard to catch in some places, so I have shamelessly swiped them from somewhere or other online and added them under the LJ-cut. The lyrics aren't complete, but you should be able to make out the rest of it.
Go vote, Americans.
