Using my Jacob icon because no, I don't have a Vala icon, why do you ask? :)
Anyway. Yesterday I posted a second Alphabet Soup poll. The four characters that got the most votes in the first poll - Bra'tac, Jacob, Jonas, and Vala - are going to be the subjects of the next four Alphabet Soups. The only question is, who gets to go first?
Right now, Vala has a very narrow lead over Jacob - 14 to 13 votes. So if you haven't yet voted (or want to change your vote) and you'd like to see Jacob or Vala featured in August's soup - or if you want to cheer on Jonas or Bra'tac, to determine which one gets to be third - head over to the poll. And if you want to cheerlead your favorite over on your own LJ and send your flist over here to vote, too, I certainly won't complain! :) Remember that voting for this poll DOES NOT commit you to writing when the time comes.
In a somewhat confused way, I am rather proud to see Vala getting so many votes off my flist. I've never made any secret of my lack of enthusiasm for S9-10, but I've also always hoped that the fandom squee here is inclusive rather than exclusive, and I'd like to think that Vala's popularity in the poll reflects that. Um, don't tell me if I'm wrong. ;)
