Birthday thanks and recs

Thank you to all the lovely people who have posted birthday wishes, and especially to supplyship and holdouttrout, who went the extra mile for squee!

And then holdoutrout wrote that rarest of genres, delightful Sam and Jack friendship! Go read Twelve Down, because crossword puzzles and sideways telephone conversations never grow old. Also, Sam's idea of breakfast makes me hungry. :)
