May: fandom, fic, recs

This was a relatively quiet fandom month for me. I got a chance to write some Jonas Quinn meta over at redial_the_gate. I'll say again that while Daniel still firmly owns my heart, Jonas is an engaging, interesting character. Did the writers make some poor choices about him? Of course they did. They have also made poor choices about Sam and Daniel and Teal'c and Jack, and I don't hold that against them.

Still. Happy to be back to Daniel at Redial, heh. :) I did the recap of Orpheus and am enjoying the S7 squee!

In other fandom news, one_prompt has gone live with the latest round, which was Breathe. I'm pretty proud of my own contribution: Breathless, which is five double-drabbles on Sha're, ranging from pre-series through FIAD. There is so much backstory I want to put into each of those ficlets. I'll be covering the first one more thoroughly by the end of June, because it's my prompt over at gate_women. I'm looking forward to that one a lot.

One more fandom tidbit: There will be another SG-1 Gen Fic Day in early-ish July, and to celebrate the milestone of reaching our tenth serving of Alphabet Soup, this time the subject is team. One-word prompts can be submitted without any commitment strings attached.
