Is there any way to strip the musical score out of a DVD so you hear only the dialogue and (bonus if possible) the sound effects?

I assume that there is such a method, if only because I've seen dialogue from eps used in music vids without the accompanying music to clash with the music of the vid itself. I tried Googling and didn't get anywhere.

What I want is a way to take one of my SG-1 DVDs and copy/manipulate an ep or two so I can watch it with dialogue intact, but no music. I'd love to have the sound effects included, but it's more important to have the music removed. Does anyone know how to do this, or where to direct me to find out for myself?
