I'm aware that steampunk is a fascination for lots of you, even if I don't see it myself. :)
So I subscribe to a nifty little website calls Pixel of Ink, which links you to various free Kindle books from Amazon. Yes, I skip past most of 'em, but I've collected a nice batch of cookbooks, some excellent non-fiction works, and lots of readers for my little ones.
This morning's offer includes SteamDrunks: 101 Steampunk Cocktails and Mixed Drinks. Of course I couldn't resist, even though I've never drunk a cocktail in my life!
So. Ugandan Ginger Tea and Peach Milk Punch and Kentucky Egg Nog...
If you've ever had a hankering to set the team back in the 19th century, possibly with Sam and Daniel arguing over the best way to make cocktails, you will probably get some use out of this one. You do need an Amazon account, but you don't have to use a Kindle to read this - you can use Amazon's Kindle cloud reader, or use their free application for reading on your desktop.
If you do decide to get this, check the price before you click! These freebies seem to last only a day or so and I just opened my e-mail now, Sunday morning.
And if this does inspire some SG-1 steampunk fic... please send me the link. ;)
