Imagine your delight at learning that you, yes, you, are going to be allowed to write a story for an SG-1 episode! You can't contradict other canon, of course, and the producer insists that you keep it gen, but you can tell whatever story you'd like.

There's only one little catch: the budget.

"Sorry," they tell you, not sounding very apologetic, "but you're going to have to keep it on-world. We can't afford the special effects."

"But it's text!" You wail. "It doesn't cost anything to open the Stargate when it's only words on a screen!"

They pat your shoulder consolingly. "Look at the bright side," they say. "At least you're not being asked to make a clip show."

Our next Alphabet Soup will be fic taking place on-world - any era, any SG-1 character. There will be only three conditions: 1. It must take place on Earth; 2. It must be canon compliant, although it need not include canon; and 3. It must be gen. This is going to be for Gen Fic Day, after all!

Right now, I am only requesting one or two-word prompts to help inspire those who eventually sign up. There's no commitment involved. Just comment here with words like Egypt, Colorado Springs, jello wrestling, NID, Osiris, pie, undomesticated equines, lockdown, Washington, Antarctica... You get the idea. :)
