It's reached the point where I'm going to have to throw open the last two unfilled letters to anyone who wishes to claim them.

We are currently missing the letters H and L. Just one letter left! Who's up to claim H?

There are many friendships still available to claim, including any unclaimed friendship on this list or any other friendship you might choose by yourself that has not been already written for the Soup. Here are the four friendships that were claimed but went unwritten:

Cam and Jack

Daniel and Sam

Siler and Vala

None of these are obligatory, of course, but they are shown as claimed on the list and they are currently unwritten.

If you are ready to dash off a quick gen friendship fic (100 words minimum) based on the letter H and L, please comment here to claim the friendship before you start writing. I want to have 26 different friendships for the Soup and I don't want any accidental replications.

(Or Replicators.)

(Fifth and Replicarter friendship...? Brrrr.)

Edit: WE HAVE OUR SOUP!! Anthology will be up shortly. :D

My thanks to the authors who made Friendship Alphabet Soup a reality: Aelfgyfu, Annieb, Eilidh, Elder Bonnie, Fig Newton, Gategremlyn, Gillian, Immertreu, Ivorygates, Jedibuttercup, Julie, Maddersahatter, Magickmoons, Magistrate, Magnavox, Roeskva, Sallymn, Stringertheory, Tallulah Rasa, Topazowl, Thothmes, Traycer, Wonderland, and Zeilfanaat. A salute of the ladle to our new cooks, Magnavox, Immertreu, and Zeilfanaat, and much appreciation to the regulars who help make these Soups happen, time and time again. Special thanks to Stringertheory and Annieb for providing us with second stories as last-minute fills!

There are 26 stories of different friendships here for you to enjoy. This time, Friendship Alphabet Soup clocks in at over 57,000 words. Blame Credit for this goes to Eilidh, who easily breaks all Soup records with a word count of over 17,000! As this total exceeds even DW's generous limits, Eilidh's epic is incomplete. You can find the entire fic at AO3. All other stories are included here in full.

Story text is as written by the authors, but minor HTML coding has been changed and scene breaks have been altered to allow for more uniformity in page style. Expect spoilers throughout the movie and the series, and references to canonical character deaths. Ratings range from G to PG-13.

Readers are strongly encouraged to follow the links to the authors' individual journals and leave feedback.

::spins in chair::

Do you know how hard it is to find the one little mistake that throws all your HTML coding out of whack? But 'tis done, and I managed to whittle down 57,000 (!) words of gen fic to something that will fit within LJ's 65K limit. Wheeee!

So. The LJ version is here. The DW version, which is unabridged except for Eilidh's grand epic, is here. I hope to eventually add links to the top of page labeled by friendship that will jump to the story in question, but it is definitely not happening before Sunday at the absolute earliest.

Soup authors, please quickly skim both entries to make sure that links are working properly, that I didn't use your LJ nick on DW or vice versa, and that I didn't accidentally delete entire paragraphs or ruin the coding of your fic. Inform me immediately if I haven't credited you for your hard work. Any typos or other minor fixes you wish to make will be happily obliged - just e-mail me, or comment here, and let me know. Also, I defaulted to LJ for most feedback links; if you prefer DW or AO3, just say so.

For those of you archiving your fics on AO3, there is an SG-1 Alphabet Soup collection that is open and unmoderated. Feel free to add your stories.

Many, many thanks to all you wonderful cooks who helped to serve up such a fantastic Soup. Now I just have to find time to read them all... :)
