PSA: The Tablet scheduled to close soon

If you're a fan of old skool SG-1 fic, you might want to check out The Tablet, as Jb has informed me that it won't be around much longer. Many of the authors hosted there have moved on to AO3, but there are also fics there that might not be available after the site goes down in a few months.

The Tablet was one of the first SG-1 fic sites that I discovered, back in the day. Daniel-centric, lots of drama, very good authors. Mostly gen, with a side serving of "zipfic" which slews sideways, just a bit. :)

Has anyone told them about Open Doors, who might be able to help them rescue any fics that haven't been imported to AO3 yet?

Yes. Jb is actually on AO3 herself and is aware of it, but there's apparently some complication involved with having to do it all manually. (I'm not on AO3, so I don't fully understand the problem.)

I was very saddened when Open Doors announced, a few years back, that they were planning to rescue Stargatefan from oblivion, and there was never a follow through. We lost so many fics when that site disappeared. :(

It's a good thought, though, so thanks.
