I'm pleased to finish the 2007 calendar year with 150+ recs over at [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec! Keep writing 'em, people - I'll keep reccing. :)

This month, I was privileged to rec two of my favorite categories: Daniel Jackson and Teamy goodness. The links below actually lead to the recommendations at the rec archive at [livejournal.com profile] figs_sg1_rec, but they were all posted first at [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec, which is a marvelous resource and deserves everyone's participation and support.

The master list of fic recs has now been split in two because of LJ posting constraints: fics titled A-M here and fics titled N-Z here. If you're looking for the most recent recs, or want to search by character or genre, try the rec archive.

Daniel Jackson recs

Please Hang Up and Try Again, by Abyssis (PG-13)

Ciphers, by Destina (PG)

Realignment, by Elishevah (PG)

Setting Up House series, by Redbyrd (PG-13)

Syncopated Steps in Dreamland, by Tidia and MOG (PG)

Teamy goodness recs

By Ear, by Tallulah Rasa (PG)

More Trouble Than a Texas Twister, by Knightshade (PG-13)

Sufficiently Advanced Technology, by Katie M. (PG)

Rites of Passage, by Random (PG-13)

Here's your chance to start your participation in SG-1 (or even SGA) fandom the right way - go sign up to rec four fics next month in [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec! I'll be shining the spotlight on our favorite Jaffa, as well as a month's worth of Drama. Check out the FAQ if you have any questions, then go sign up and make [livejournal.com profile] angelsgracie and [livejournal.com profile] medie happy - as well as the authors you rec, and the readers who get the pleasure of discovering new fic!

If you missed my fandom year's roundup and you're interested in that kind of thing, you can find it here.

Many thanks for all your great recs! I've found many good stories, and some absolutely wonderful ones, just because of you!

Oh, thank you. :) Knowing that I've introduced great stories and authors to new readers is the best feedback ever!

Thanks for the fatastic recs. I always love them, especially the teamy goodness.

You're right, reccing is a lot of fun (although I have issues trying to come up with something better to say than "this is really really good"). The hardest part was choosing what to rec.

Ooh, teamy goodness is LOVE. Why focus on only one of them when they're all so utterly fantastic?

And whee! Another fan addicted to reccing! You can always do another month's worth the next time... :)

I would love to do more reccing, but a whole bunch of my favourites are stories I got from Fic Rec, or they were recced before I joined.

That and deciding the category. Crossovers were easy for me cause I've been involved in the crossover world for so long.

You can always move sideways, so to speak. One of my Gen category recs, for example, was a story I discovered when it was recced in the Teal'c category. So if someone recced a favorite story in, say, Team, you can always rerec it in Episode Related or whatever.

Picking and choosing categories is half the fun. :)

huh, I thought you weren't allowed to do that.

Edit: I just signed up to do episode related :p

As long as a story isn't in the memories for the actual category that you're reccing, it's fair game.

And yay for more reccing! :)
