Apparently I just missed this... but the film The Wizard of Oz was originally released 70 years ago yesterday.

Jack would be proud. :)

I wrote No Place Like Home: Sam listens as Daniel and Jacob and Selmac discuss the "Great and Powerful Oz" in a missing scene from Tangent. PG.

Then my fellow mods and I had a great time celebrating redial_the_gate gaining 200 watchers to the comm with our slightly cracky Wizard of Oz fics:

I wrote Pay No Attention to the Tok'ra Behind the Curtain. PG. In early Season Seven, SG-1 goes on a recon mission on behalf of the Tok'ra. What they find on the other side of the Gate is suspiciously familiar... And everyone, apparently, loves a certain pair of slippers. ;)

aurora_novarum wrote The Lollipop Guild, in which Daniel snarks about "it is only for you" and the team literally gets to eat its way out of trouble! PG.

And pepper_field wrote What a World, in which Jack takes Teal'c to see Wicked, Sam and Daniel get presents, and Jack and is just a little irritated afterwards. :) Oh, and Teal'c pwns! PG-13.

No stargate fic here, but my grandmother was a seamstress on the set of WoO for the munchkins, so the movie was always a family favorite!
