This month's rec list is a little shorter than usual, as a lot of my fandom time was taken up by Ficzilla and various bouts of RL. Still, I managed to make ten recs in [community profile] stargateficrec this month: five in the Gen category, and five in Humor. The Gen category, of course, is a dear friend. :) I've recced humor only once before, so it was fun to come back to it again!

Please note that the links lead to the full recommendation in [community profile] stargateficrec and not to the fics themselves. All stories recced this month are gen.

The master list of fic recs can be found here.

The last time I did a month of humor recs, I hadn't started doing these monthly round-ups. Here's a quick recap for you:

Acid Worms, by Betacandy (PG-13) – Teal’c’s POV of the incident on P3X-595 and the “stuff that made you take off your-”

C'est la Vie, by Sam Walker (PG) – delightful teamy goodness humor and sheer wackiness of a typical SG-1 day at the SGC.

Furnishing the Universe, One Room at a Time, by Tafkar (G) – one of my favorite crack!fics ever.

Hazardous Duty, by Tenaya (PG-13) – Marines, betting, weddings, Daniel!

Hives, Hiccups, and Sprains, by Aimless (PG-13) – Jack as the ultimate jinx. It’s all his fault.

Insurance SNAFU at the CPO, by Aurora Novarum (G) – Someone notices multiple life insurance payoffs for one Doctor Daniel Jackson!

Ketchup, by Jaed (PG) – one of my absolute favorites – OTT without being OOC.

Somnambulist, by C.L. Kamnikar (PG) – This is Daniel’s brain without coffee. Any questions?

The Matchmaker, by Roxie (PG) – “I want a geek!” The natives decide to help Daniel with his love-life back on Earth. Oops.

There's a B-List in My Closet, by LadyCiristh (PG) – marvelous fourth-wall crack!fic, starring Nyan!

Yet Another SG-1 Adventure, by Minnow (PG) – Jack and S9 Team. And zombies!

And here are this month's Gen recs:

Golden, by Knightshade (PG)

Teal'c's Five Favorite Board Games, by Komos (G)

The Blue Jell-O Metaphor, by Jennghis Kahn (PG-13)

Something Sweet, by Minnow (G)

Files, by Random (PG-13)

Previous months of Gen recs can be found here and here, but of course over ninety percent of the fics on the master list are gen, anyway. :)

How about volunteering for a month's worth of recs for June, or whenever your favorite category of fic is next available? You can go here and choose a favorite category, and check out the FAQ if you have any questions. You're only required to make four recs over the course of the month - that's one a week. Give other fans the chance to get to know some of your favorite fics!

Just wanted to tell you the link for the fic Ketchup doesn't work, at least for me. I'm pretty sure I've read that before, but I was looking forward to reading it again. Alas, no luck.

Thank you so much for your many good recs, which I've found at Stargate Fic Recs site, a great place to find new and good SG reading. I'd have said I was a Jack/Sam fan, foremost, but the past few months I'm more into good gen and team, I think because it's so hard to find good J/S. My favorite character is Jack, so any story that serves him well, pleases me.
Thanks again-

Hm. I suspect that most of the Heliopolis links aren't going to work, as Lyssa is still working very hard to switch the archive over to new software, or however that works. I have it on my HD, though, so if you'll send me your e-mail addy - either leave it in the comments here, or send it my gmail addy (sg1.fig) - I'll be happy to send you a copy.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad you're enjoying the recs. I can't speak to S/J fics, since I don't read the stuff. I've heard, though, that Sally Reeve is a very popular S/J author. I do know what you mean - I started out mostly as a Daniel fan, but the teamy goodness has sucked me in completely. :)

If the list is a little overwhelming, you might want to look in the memories section of my LJ under "Jack O'Neill" for more Jack-specific fics.

Thanks for letting me know you like the recs! I really appreciate it.
