July recs: Sha're and Teamy Goodness

In July, I recced two categories in stargateficrec: Sha’re and Teamy Goodness.

Please note that the links lead to the full recommendation in stargateficrec   and not to the fics themselves. While all the Teamy Goodness stories recced this month are gen, three out of four of the Sha’re fics are, unsurprisingly, Daniel/Sha’re.

Amazing, fiery Sha’re deserved better from me this month, as I only managed four recs. Too much of my fandom time taken with helping to get redial_the_gate launched, I’m afraid! On the other hand, I’ve got a meta post about the lovely lady going up today, so hopefully she’ll forgive me. :)

Previous recs that highlight this wonderful woman:

Eurydice Ascending, by C. L. Kamnikar (PG-13) – one of my favorite fics ever. An AU of FIAD that includes Cimmeria, an astonishing struggle on the mental landscape between Sha’re and Amaunet, and the entire staff of the SGC rooting for Daniel and Sha’re’s happy ending, despite NID’s best efforts.

If I Could Go On Sleeping, by Meredith T. Tasaki (PG-13) – another powerful AU, only this one doesn’t have the happy ending. An AU of Meridian, including a Sha’re who is unhappy enough about Oma taking her son… how is she going to feel about Oma taking her Daniel, too?

The Day After, by Danvers (PG-13) – creepily evocative, this fic adds further depth and twisty dimensions to FIAD, stretching the dreamscape further as Daniel slowly reaches acceptance.
