Huge congratulations to all the winners of this year's Stargate Fan Awards! This is quite a far cry from the awards system in the only other fandom in which I've been an active participant, if for nothing other than the sheer volume.
It was delightful to see some of my favorites winning, or getting honorable mentions. Of course, in the Daniel Jackson video category, there was an 80% chance of that, since four out of the five nominees were vids I'd personally nominated... It made voting kinda difficult, but still well worth it. :)
While I was taken aback by some voters' choices, that's the real beauty of such a huge fandom - there's room enough for all tastes and choices. Here's hoping the fandom stays as civil as it seems to be in my little corner of it.
