I was hoping to avoid this, but...
With the greatest apologies to you wonderful Soup authors who got your stories in on time (or just a little later), we are still two letters short of a complete Allies Alphabet Soup. I have sent messages to the two authors. One responded yesterday morning and said her story would be up shortly, which hasn't happened yet; the other did not reply at all.
The rest of the Soup is coded and ready to go, but we are still two stories short. I am therefore offering the letters E and F as available to anyone who would like to write a quick backup for us, whether or not they've already contributed this round. So if you would like to write 100 words of gen fic on any of the SGC's allies, I'd be delighted. :) You don't have to claim a letter; just write, and comment here to link to your story when it's finished.
I will post the complete anthology as soon as it's -- well, complete. And in the meantime, I will post the Gen Fic Day roundup entry shortly.
Edit: And Sid wrote us a ficlet for F! \0/ All we need is E, now...

But that doesn't mean she doesn't have favorites. She sees the hope and goodness in young Daniel Jackson, the intellect and the compassion of brave Samantha Carter, the determination to save his people and the desperate need for redemption of the mighty Teal'c. She sees the cynicism, the scars, and the deep-buried faith of loyal Jack O'Neill.
She will always do the right and the fair thing, which always, so far, has turned out to be the thing that helps those she cares about most. One day she knows that might change.
On that day, faces will no longer light up when they see her. Smiles will not spring to lips, eyes will cease to shine with delight.
Lya will lose her position as everyone's favorite ally.
So be it.
