There's a little more than a month until SG-1 Gen Fic Day on May 26th, when we'll be serving up Episode Alphabet Soup. I'm very pleased to report that we've got all 26 letters claimed, and a Certain Someone (three guesses who, heh) has already submitted the first entry!

A warm welcome to our new cooks - six this time! [profile] annieb1955, [profile] alynt, [personal profile] busaikko, and [personal profile] marzipan77, [personal profile] misaffection, [personal profile] topazowl, and [personal profile] winterjameson. Is SG-1 fandom fabulous or what? :)

It's interesting to see the breakdown of the claimed episodes. It's so surprise to me that S3 is the most popular season. At six episodes, it's got twice as many claimed as any other season. Several seasons are tied for second place with three: S4, S5, and S7. S1, S2, S8, and S8 have two episodes each, while S6 and S9 have only one claimed episode apiece. Stargate: the Movie got claimed, but no one took Ark of Truth or Continuum.

Of course, if anyone cares to rectify these gaps by writing non-Soup new fic for Gen Fic Day, I certainly won't object... ;)

Soup authors, don't forget that you may send your finished story to me at sg1.fig at gmail.com at any time, but keep your story offline until Gen Fic Day. I am always happy to do beta duty, too!

If you've got any questions or comments, feel free to leave 'em here.
