Gen Fic Day was a wonderful success! Thanks to all of you for responding with such enthusiasm, and for spreading the word. :)

Here's the complete roundup of all the commentfics, fics, WIPs, and recs that were posted in honor of Gen Fic Day.

Commentfic

[livejournal.com profile] uniquinum started us off here, as Sam and Daniel try to solve the problem of alien goo.
[livejournal.com profile] ankh_lj continues here with an annoyed Daniel and a petinent Jack.
[livejournal.com profile] sg1danny posts a creepy Shroud AU here.
[livejournal.com profile] redbyrd_sgfic gives us a great OC who has managed to work with General Jack for an entire week right here.

Fics

[livejournal.com profile] shutthef_up wrote Tiny Livestock, in which Daniel comes back from the Land of Light with more company than he expected.
[livejournal.com profile] 6beforelunch wrote For the World Is Full and I Have Touched the Sky, an introspective futurefic with Mitchell and Papa Mitchell.
[livejournal.com profile] rigel7 wrote Five Times That Jack Never Learned. One of these is Jack/Sara. Don't tell anyone! There is also a marvelous Jack and Sam friendship one, and you know how rare it is to get one of those!
[livejournal.com profile] martyfan wrote a sober prequel to her action figure!verse (I've recced those here): Post-Production.
[livejournal.com profile] moonshayde wrote the seriously funny Assimilation, in which Teal'c has absorbed a little bit more from his television watching than SG-1 might have hoped. :)
[livejournal.com profile] lyore posted a link to an older fic of hers: The Browncoat, in which SG-1 discovers Teal'c knows how to be a fan.

WIPs

[livejournal.com profile] moonshayde posted three fascinating snippets: an SG-1/SGA crossover, an S1 teamfic, and paranoia!fic.
[livejournal.com profile] rigel7 posted Pillars of the Sky, a WIP apocafic about Black SG-1 from Ripple Effect.
[livejournal.com profile] aurora_novarum gave us three for the price of one! Sam and all her boys, making sense of Moebius (or not!), and Sam and Cassie (yay!).
[livejournal.com profile] kellifer_fic's idea of a "snippet" comes in at nearly 3,500 words, but I'm not complaining! :) Sam and Jack escaping from something.
[livejournal.com profile] abyssinia4077 gave us four tantalizing tidbits: an Unending fic, a sequel to "Eroding" (squeeeeeee!!!!!), apocafic, and her Road Not Taken AU (squee squared!).
And I posted a snippet from my SG-1/Lois and Clark crossover over here.

Recs

[livejournal.com profile] annerbhp recced the amazing With The Dying by [livejournal.com profile] dsudis (and I second that).
[livejournal.com profile] moonshayde recced Zymotic by [livejournal.com profile] megtdj.
[livejournal.com profile] egelantier recs several: Guardian of the Gate by Jb, Creation Myth by Corby, and Breaking the Curse by ETS. She also offers this link to two more recs as well. Thanks, Becca!
[livejournal.com profile] crazedturkey suggests checking out [livejournal.com profile] jack_built, an AU SG-1/SGA comm, as many of the fics and snippets there are gen.

Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] moonshayde, who was unquestionably the most enthusiastic particpant and the one who gave Gen Fic Day its name. :)

Let's hope we can do this again, and soon. Three cheers for gen fic!

Aw, I missed it! That's what I get for not checking LJ all weekend. Oh well, at least I get to read, even if I didn't get to contribute. *dives in*

I'm sorry you missed it too, because I'm sure your contribution would've been fun. :) But this was worked out so nicely that I think we'll be doing another Gen Fic Day in a month or so, so you'll be able to participate then!

I just needed to say thanks so much for being the catalyst for all this Gen-y goodness!
