Okay, kinda sorta back to normal now... :)

So, I haven't been around much in the last few weeks. Even tagging for Debrief was a fly-by thing - I couldn't stop to read anything! If you've posted anything SG-1 related that you think I'd enjoy, drop a link here in the comments. Don't worry about spamming me; I'm asking for it.

There are a lot of you out there who have friended me without commenting why. This is fine, as I specifically say on my profile page. Anyone is welcome, as long as they're civil in discussion. But I do get curious, sometimes, so...

I friended you because of abyssis' birthday Alphabet soup project. (I actually friended her then too, ha!). Now that I'm here, I'm enjoying the meta and c vs. f and redial_the_gate squee!

I very much have OTPs and I know our favorite characters are completely different, but that's what I love about this little corner of fandom - civil, thinky discussions on all things Stargate!

Aw, heck, I read because your recs are what got me into this fandom when I started watching the show and had no clue where to start looking for fic that had been being written for over 10 years. And because of the meta and squee and everything else.

(I'm pretty sure I didn't post anything interesting. But I did protect Bean from a 4 foot black snake. Oh, and at Sedar I discovered my 12 year-old cousin is well on her way to becoming a fangirl.)

I had stumbled upon your fanon vs canon stuff and thought it was incredibly well written and thoughtful. I've also always loved your fic recommendations. And then Aurora told me to come over and read more of your other stuff and she is smart so I did.

And while I tend to be ship free on the show, I multi ship like mad in fandom.

I think it was canon vs. fanon that got me here first, but I stayed for everything else!

Your posts are great (recs, your own fic, and of course canon vs. fanon); you're also just great at getting and keeping discussions going! You've got your very own Stargate SG-1 salon, in the Enlightenment sense of the word! (If the Enlightenment had been into tv and sf.)

When I get busy, I tend to skip episode discussions, so I haven't been involved in those so much lately--but I always make sure to keep an eye on your journal!

Um...I have no idea how we met up with each other. I think you joined lj after me....I know I spam you all the time and you put up with it, so hah! I almost think I visited before canon v. fanon was created...I remember poking and nagging encouraging you about them.

As for ship-free. Heh, aren't we like the Gen twins? We definitely share similar taste on fic categories. Heh. Teamy Goodness forevah!

I think I wandered over here a few times from sg-fic-rec, but it was Daniel's Alphabet Soup paired with I think the sign ups for the sg1friendathon that put me over the edge, or pushed me off the fence, or whatever metaphor you prefer. *grin* And now I enjoy whatever comes my way--I like your 'live and let live' attitude, your dedication, and your boundless enthusiasm.

I think I wandered over here for the Fic Recs just in time for your Jack version of Cannon vs Fannon went through and read all of them and was hooked.

As a multi-shipper (and crossover junkie and Heroine addict) I really like the Gen fic offerings and the wankless discussions. On top of that I've really enjoyed doing the alphabet soups and the friendship ficathon.

I'm here mainly because of your canon vs fanon articles and episode commentaries - I enjoy them quite a lot. That's not to say the rest of it isn't good too - I'm just far more of an Atlantis girl than SG-1 these days, especially in regards to fic. :) I still enjoy SG-1 - in fact I'm rewatching it right now from the beginning, though at my own pace - I have a horrible time keeping up with marathons and schedules and then I feel so guilty. :) Your Redial community is a great idea though.

The fic was a surprise to me, too, when it started! The canon vs. fanon was really my first forays (outside recs) into writing for the fandom, and I love the discussions they generate.

Rewatching SG-1 is a splended idea under any circumstances! You might want to visit redial_the_gate and check out the memories or tags to see the discussions (and fanworks!) for whatever ep you're currently watching - there's lots of interesting ideas there, besides all the general squee. :)

I...um...er....um...I discovered that Fig and I kinda liked the same things, fic-wise. But I'm embarrassed to admit, I didn't friend her until...like...five minutes ago.
I only wandered into LJ because I wanted to comment on some other folks' fics so I signed up, not thinking I would friend very many folks. I did Magnavox immediately, but she and I have been pals since we met on the Sg-1 archives and she pulled my up by my bootstraps
