Four days to go! SG-1 Gen Fic Day and Jack Alpha-Bits!

On Monday, October 27th, we go live with SG-1 Gen Fic Day! On that day, comment at the main post with links to stories, comment fic, links to WIPs, fic recs, meta, even graphics or vids - anything, as long as it's gen and related to SG-1!

And don't forget that Jack Alpha-Bits are due then, too! If you're participating, comment at the post with the link to the fic on your own LJ, and include a para or two of the ficlet for good measure! (Or the whole thing, even, if it's short enough.)

If you've signed up for Jack Alpha-Bits and you can't get 100 words written by Monday, then please let me know now. Send an e-mail to my gmail address (sg1.fig) as soon as possible!

There are two people who have already volunteered as back-up writers, but if you're willing to pinch-hit in case of emergencies, please e-mail me and let me know. :)

I have to echo suzannemarie's response to that. I knew this week was going to be bad, and had gotten about 3,250 words done as of last Monday, but at this rate I've still got at LEAST a thousand words left between where I am and the end of my mental outline...and commitments on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Oi! I won't have time for a proper beta.

Well, I've declared it "done" as of a few minutes ago. I didn't get to all the planets in my outline, but I'm out of time and found a sensible stopping place. I'll take you up on the beta offer before I post it to Heliopolis or StargateFan...later. :-) A friend who works at the local Air Force Base looked over the first few paragraphs and offered corrections and suggestions, but that's all the beta this has time for.

Hopefully I'll manage to get "M is for..." posted in the next few minutes (I'm heading over to your instructions, which LiveJournal unfortunately interpreted rather than displaying it in full, right now).
