Daniel: plaid shirts and leather jackets!

One of the things on my "to-do" list for the canon vs. fanon series was Daniel and plaid shirts. Specifically, I planned to do enough research to actually determine whether or not the fanon insistence that early-season Daniel always wore plaid was actually true.

And now I don't have to any more, because niamaea   has done it a thousand times better and with infinitely more humor than I could ever manage. She's covered the first seven seasons so far and she's had me absolutely crying with laughter at her captions. So if you haven't seen these yet, hurry up and go look!

Heh, poor dialup me has had to avoid the prettiness of niamaea's posts, but they look muchly cool.

Hey, I have a request. Daniel's glasses. Can that be a canon v. fanon? I can only recall two times his glasses have actually been lost/broken. Other times he's been missing them for good reason. [Using alien technology, uh, dead/ascended.] They are pretty sturdy.

I know someone wrote a fic about an optomotrist that was very clever. I can't remember where I read that now though. Goes to ponder...and stop spamming fig. ;-)

Will add glasses to the list. Sounds like a fun subject, where I can also snark at how often he doesn't bother wearing them - frex, he did a better job of shooting Jaffa in the S1 finale when he wasn't wearing them (and when he had his eyes closed!) than when he was. Ironic, that.

I am pretty firm in my own theory, but I'll acknowledge canon's been inconsistent about confirming it. LOL

Yes, I'm sorry to torture you with having to stare at Daniel's face with and without glasses. *eg*
