Fics

Something Smoother. Missing scene from Sacrifices in S8 with Bra'tac, Jack, and alcohol. Rated G.

Waiting for Daniel. Jack retrospective, set post-Full Circle, in which he contemplates all the times he's waited for Daniel over the years - and thinks that this time, Daniel's never coming back. PG, and very high on the angst meter.

Out of Step. Team silliness to explain why Daniel got the comfy general's chair in Proving Ground, with Janet thrown in for good measure! Rated G.

Fandom

sg1_debrief posted its 100th issue, which is HUGE. Debrief is the best of SG-1 fandom on LJ, and I'm proud to have even my little part in it! I celebrated, sort of, with a list of 100 reasons for loving Stargate.

redial_the_gate finished Season Five and is starting Season Six - this Tuesday, in fact! If you're not watching the comm yet, go and poke around - like Debrief, Redial represents the best of LJ SG-1 fandom.

And, late as this may be... ::scuffs toe:: I would like very much to thank those of you who voted for All This Time, which won Best Sam at the Stargate Fan Awards during my hiatus. I'm proud of writing a long Sam story on a subject that's too rarely explored, and I'm honored that enough people out there feel that I did a good job. :)

Ordinarily, I simply urge people to sign up to rec at stargateficrec and leave it at that. This time, however, I would like to specifically encourage anyone who is a fan of Sam and Daniel's friendship to sign up for that specific category. It took over a year of lobbying to get Sam and Daniel their own category, and then six months after the official decision was made before the category was set up. Since then, it's been standing empty. Let's show some Sam and Daniel love (but not that way, heh) and get them some recs! :)

(I know - I'm just as much at fault, although I did rec the category this year already! I'm already signed up for Teal'c and Daniel friendship this coming month, but I'll definitely be getting in line again after that.)
