Heliopolis, after undergoing major renovations, is open for business again. While previously archived stories may or may not be showing up, authors can submit new stories.
I've linked to both of my shorter fics there, but off-site links are apparently not yet integrated into the new system. I uploaded In Search of Possibilities and discovered the newer limitations - to wit, the system can't handle more than 10,000 words per story/chapter. That was a little... frustrating, since when I tried to break the story down into chapters, part 2 was about 500 words over the limit. Still, this new system seems to be a lot smoother than the old one, so no complaints - rather, kudos to Lyssa, who has run Heliopolis for over four years!
I may or may not have uploaded In Search of Possibilities properly. If I did, readers should hopefully be able to read the whole fic as a single file. I can link to that, but the story's information isn't showing properly on its main page. There seems to be a verification process, though, so hopefully it'll eventually resolve itself.
...Or not? :)
ETA: It took until the 14th, but the story has been validated! Patience will be necessary at the beginning, with so many people rushing to upload and Lyssa still working out the kinks. And I can already see I'm going to be highly entertained by the chapter stats. :)
Either way, I'm delighted that this wonderful resource is available to us again!
