redial_the_gate does Resurrection this week. The recap by maevebran doesn't go up until Tuesday, but here are a few random thoughts:
It's the ep after Heroes and they call it Resurrection and it has nothing to do with Janet? That is cruel.
This isn't an ep that makes me want to rewatch, but every time I do, I enjoy it quite a lot. Bill Lee and Teal'c working together is delightful. Everyone is competent and there's mythology, not to mention this rare thing called actual continuity! Barrett and his former interactions with Sam, the reference to Pete, Shifu, Daniel's amnesia, Nightwalkers, even Brief Candle. Such great teamwork. MS wrote this (although I understand it is nothing like the original script, which included Nick's death) and AT directed it and I find it very satisfying overall.
Daniel wins Anna over by being open and honest about their limited ability to help her. This is why he's a good diplomat only some of the time.
Personal severe allergy to cigarette smoke notwithstanding, I found it utterly hilarious that they gave Keffler a smoking habit to emphasize that he is eeeeeevil.
