I've been on LJ for less than a year, and all my posts have been centered wholly on the SG-1 fandom. So I'm still missing some details of etiquette and nuances that everyone else seems to already know.

Through my efforts as one of the taggers for [community profile] sg1_debrief, I have discovered that when some munificent author bequeaths you with a fic at your request, it's common courtesy to not only comment at the author's LJ, but also to note it in your own. I have been sadly defunct in that respect, even though I've recced several of these in [community profile] stargateficrec. :( So, since [personal profile] moonshayde just gifted me with a sweet little timestamp fic, I'm taking the opportunity to thank everyone who has written ficlets for me. My heartfelt apologies for the belated acknowledgment, and ::hugs:: to all of you!

In no particular order, then:

Thanks, guys. :)

We all slip with fandom etiquette. I don't recc on my LJ half as much as I should. And I only tend to recc if something wrote somethign for me and we're friends or if the fic is just so good it puts the rest of the fandom to shame. And I'm lazy.

But to be honest, I think most people like comments the best. Pimping a fic is just like icing on the cake.

And heh. I don't have many cool icons, but there are a couple that make me smile. I need more *team* icons.
