I finally played around with HTML tonight and created a post to list my fics by season and episode. I confess that I'm amused to discover that I've written more S3 fic than anything else. :)

I hope this might be useful for anyone that hasn't yet seen all the seasons, or is hunting for something episode-specific. Also, I suspect I'm a lot more pedantic and obsessively organized than the state of my kitchen might suggest!

Very nicely done! I'm not even remotely surprised that you discovered a preference for writing season 3. ; )

::grins:: I would've expected more of S1-2. And there is more, if you put them both together! Still - S3 definitely wins hands down. :)

I just did something similar (personally, I blame Redial...I keep finding things MONTHS after we've rewatched), and mine seemes to cluster in season four and season seven, which are my favourite season, and the first season I watched "live".

Yes, makes sense - the first stuff we watch very often turns into our first loves.

And yay for Redial!

You are a hoot. S3 is one of my single-season favorites, as well, though you know I'm an early-seasons-gal all the way.

S2 is my favorite season, which is why I find it so funny that I haven't written that much of it! :)

Yay! I didn't know you could make boxes. Sometimes I wonder if I should post things in "written order", but I do like seeing fics as they fall in canon. Go you! Look at all your fic! Whee!

*is highly amused at S3 Daniel trumping either season of floppy haired era.* [cue evil laughter]

Hee! Well, if you put S1 and S2 together, it's the same amount! But yes, I am quite surprised myself.

The boxes are actually single-celled tables. I tried making one neat table, like Redbyrd has for her webpage, but couldn't figure out how to do it properly. It looks nice enough as is, but I might play with it a bit more as time allows.

Season 3? The one which Daniel began by looking like a recently-shorn sheep, and wound up whumped--physically and/or emotionally--in well over half of the episodes? Yep, I can understand that.

If I were to do mine, though, they'd probably be mainly seasons nine and ten. I love the classic team, but I also adore post-Ascension Daniel and Team Cam :D

I can't say that's my personal criteria... :)

And I never would've guessed that you'd prefer S9-10, heh. To each their own squee!

It's one of the things I miss most about the new Stargatefan site, the way the stories were grouped by season. I do love season three. And season two. And one. Ah, heck, I like all of 'em--if they've got Daniel in them.

Well, to be fair, that wasn't organized automatically - there were volunteers actually going through and adding stories to the episode pages, which is why there are some occasional gems among the older fics that didn't make it onto those lists. They do say somewhere that if you specifically mention eps in your summary, they might be able to do something similar with the newer system.

Ah, heck, I like all of 'em--if they've got Daniel in them.

Whee! A woman after my own heart! Or archeologist. :)

Ooh, this is great! I have just started my zillionth series rewatching today, which always makes me want to read episode-specific fic.

*rubs hands gleefully*

Yay for rewatches! And I know the feeling - I have an entire folder on my hd with fics grouped by episode.

Wow!! I love how you've organized your fanfic index. Nice and neat, and by season too.

Can you come over to my house to help me out? :D

Edit: *sigh* I meant could you come over to help me organize my place? lol You may need to help me organize my thoughts too!

Thank you! Oh, and I am much better at organizing my LJ than organizing my house. For one thing, there is only one person messing it up... :)

I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was time-consuming, but not difficult. Of course, people who are more prolific might find it a lot more complicated!
