Dreamwidth! And
samjackfriends.
Eeee! I'm on Dreamwidth for real!
Fig Newton
I'm excited about this: fandom friendly, deliciously long entries (
stargate_summer fics will fit into a single post), active and enthusiastic creators and maintainers.
I'm not running away from LJ - I'm here for the fandom, and unless and until
sg1_debrief and
redial_the_gate and my fantastic corner of SG-1 fandom emigrates en masse, I will be mirroring on both sites.
Also, a small PSA: if you created an OpenID account and are having trouble with modifying your profile and/or uploading userpics (as I was), try disabling any Greasemonkey scripts that deal with LJ as well as your Firefox extensions/add-ons. That's what did the trick for me.
On a more SG-1 related note,
samjackfriends has really awesome fic (that I haven't been able to read yet, grumble)! I'm only online this week - technically, anyway - Sunday through Tuesday. I rather expect to only be able to make flyby visits, both here and to my new DW journal. But in the meantime, one of those
samjackfriends fics are mine. :) I think author-reveals take place some time on Monday, but if you'd care to guess which story I wrote before that time, and you get it right, I will offer you a ficlet. (
jacksamfriends mods are disqualified, heh.) Mind you, I am not giving any kind of estimate as to when the ficlet will get written, but we can at least try for, say, within half a calendar year...
My thanks to all the good wishes on last week's post, and I hope those of you who are celebrating Pesach are having as lovely a time as I am. Perhaps less frantically busy, though. :)

I'm going around madly adding as many people as I can find to my OpenID - hehehe
Although from the sounds of things, most people are going to mirror before making any kind of permanent move - thank goodness! Because more than half of what I adore about my LJ is reading my flist!
Also - pesach was (and still is) awesomesauce this year. So. much. food!! I hope yours is too *smishies*

And yay for gen fic! I'm in the process of trying to get the rec archive over there. It's going in fits and starts, as is my internet time. ;) Hopefully, I'll get the kinks worked out soon.

(Fig! Last night I ran a Sedar for the first time ever and It Went Really Well and was so amazing! First time *ever* I was satisfied with a Sedar when I couldn't get home for the family one. *bounces in circles* *digs into fridge for leftover charoset*)

And I was going to say that I want to try to wrestle with your helpful post about creating RSS feeds for Debrief, too, but I don't have to - looks like you (or Julie?) did that already!
I'm pleased the blurred Gate isn't too distracting - I was afraid it might be. Slowly, this place is starting to feel quite home-like, isn't it?
