redial_the_gate !
So many of us made wistful comments, in the wake of Unending, about how lovely it would be to rewatch the series all over again... butabyssinia4077 didn't just think about it, she went ahead and made it happen. Thanks, Abyssis. :)
So after much fumbling and flailing as four complete newbies at community management tried to put the comm together,redial_the_gate is gearing up for the grand opener this week!
Tuesday, July 24: We redial the Stargate back to the very beginning, when Jack spelled his last name with one L and Daniel had blond hair and Sha'uri, not Sha're, lived on an unnamed planet ruled by the last remaining alien of his species - who looked, oddly enough, like a white Asgard with sharp teeth. Join us for Stargate: The Movie! There will be a recap post open for discussion, as well as a meta post about Sha're (I will finally get the chance to squee about her properly, yay!) and an open post for linking to any fanwork related to the movie.
Then, on Friday night, July 27,pepper_field is organizing an international joint watching of Children of the Gods, ten years to the day from when it first aired! I'm not online at that time, so I won't be participating, but it looks like Pepper will be hosting a most squeeful crowd.
Tuesday, July 31st, the recap of Children of the Gods will hit the comm, along with the open fanworks post - and hopefully, some nice meta, if we get a volunteer by then. :)
In the meantime? There are still several Season One episodes available for recapping, and multiple meta posts for any episode are always welcome. Voting for the first icon challenge just went up, too. So check out the FAQ and join us - whether as a volunteer, a commenter, or just to sit back and enjoy the squee!
