If you haven't visited the comm yet, come join us and revel in the squee as we redial the Stargate from the very beginning and watch the show, one episode per week. Participation can be through simply reading and enjoying the recs and links, voting on the community icon for Season One, discussing the topics of the week, or even volunteering to create a post of your own. Several episodes are still available for Season One: The Enemy Within, The Broca Divide, Emancipation, Brief Candle, Bloodlines, Cor-Ai, Enigma, and Politics. There was a Goa'uld plot to stop us - I hear Ba'al blew up a transformer in San Francisco but we sent SG-1 in to catch him and Sam managed to jerry-rig a connection between a Naquadah generator and the San Francisco power grid - though not quite in the nick of time.
IE: Thanks for picking up the slack! We all waited as long as possible, but LJ wasn't up before any of the other three of us went to bed but yay you and your timezone getting you up earlier (um, does that make ANY sense?) so now we can gush about Stargate the movie: How two unlikely men forged a friendship in dire circumstances and learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.

:) I have to say, reading this, I was thinking - okay, Daniel eventually stops having floppy-hair, Teal'c gets more expressions, Jack's hair stops being so brown....does that mean Sam's reproductive organs stop being on the inside (I'm sure that's the premise of a fic somewhere)?

I think our diverse timezones are going to be a wonderful asset in picking various slacks, so to speak. YAY for a relatively successful launch!

Oh, yes, the time zones are great! When/if we get a fifth mod I keep saying it should be an Aussie so we REALLY cover the world :)
