Crickets chirping...? Appeal for gen fic! (Let's call it SG-1 Gen Fic Day.)

I have the immense privilege of tagging for sg1_debrief, which mostly entails skimming through the newsletter's flist in search of gen fic. (The maintainers do the really hard work, and I think the other taggers cope with a lot more volume than I do.) There's always less gen fic than ship fic, but I'm resigned to that as par for the course by now.

But what's going on here, people?

Since the 17th, there has been one gen fic posted throughout all of LJ SG-1 fandom that gets tagged for the newsletter. ONE. (Thanks for that, dknightshade! I don't follow the jack_built AU, but it was a fun snippet.)

So here's my appeal: write some gen fic today, please! It can be commentfic posted here, or a drabble on your LJ, or a snippet of your current WIP. Fic recs are good, too, like the ones posted below: here and here. Anything. Gen is the one kind of fic that embraces all aspects of the fandom, so let's have some SG-1 love!

Erm... but not that kind. :)

[And yes, I'll try to post something ficcish myself today. I can't ask for it if I don't chip in myself, right?]

She can handle Stargates and starships and other planets, but someone who walks into a general's office without knocking? The horror!

But she had forms for the starships and other planets. In triplicate! So they're authorized.

And I feel sure that at least one of Jack's prior assistants is taking a nice long rest somewhere quiet and unexciting.
