PSA: 2007 Stargate Music Video Awards voting is closing!

The people who run the Stargate Music Video Awards have got to find a way of getting the word out. I just stumbled across this. Voting started on the 9th and ends today.

Go here to get to the nominees - there are links to SG-1 vids, SGA vids, and crossovers.

There's no way to do these justice, but I'll try to watch at least one or two categories' worth so I can vote. (No prize for guessing which ones, heh.)

Spread the word to your flist! Music video makers spend hours upon hours for a few minutes of beauty and motion. They deserve recognition and praise for their wonderful work.

My husband's comment on the contest entries I was watching:

"Why do they even bother having a contest? The 'Oh no, what we gonna do?' one wins. It should win every time. In fact, why are people even making vids, still?"

Has he seen anything else Brihana has done besides the Sam and Teal'c vs. Daniel? Because if not, make sure he gets to watch Stargate Cantina, which features (among other things) Bra'tac as classic Obi-wan Kenobi. And her Coming Home, which is my favorite episode music vid ever.

On a slightly more serious note, the contest has a rule: anything that got onto a previous ballot, whether or not it won, can't be nominated again. Tell him that might explain it. :)
