sd_ficathon and Isis Awards
A quick perusal through my f-list shows an almost universal blocking for the
sd_ficathon fics. I have to admit that it makes me squeeful to see how much of a labor of love this is for all of us, and how much we all want to get our stories right for Sam and Daniel's sakes. My own fic is meandering way off course before I even get to the half-way point, which may or may not be a bad thing. At least Daniel has solved some of my major plot issues for me, which was considerate of him. :)
Isis Awards nominees are up, and... wow. And, ::thud::. I am speechless, and you wonderful people who nominated me have not only made my morning, but my whole week. I can't believe that my first tentative foray into SG-1 fic has received such a wonderful response. If the people who nominated The Importance of Past and Future were hoping to inspire me to write more, then they've definitely succeeded! Thank you very, very much for this astonishing compliment.
...How ironic is it that of the three other fics in that category, two are on my "to rec when I do a month of Sha're" list? I'm just proud to be in such lovely company! Congratulations to all the nominees, a large number of which seem to be on my f-list. Clearly I have impeccable taste, even for a gen girl. :)

I think we're all in that ficathon timeline where it feels scary and blocked and we're panicking because we want the stories to be perfect but, really, everything will likely turn out fine at the end. Yay to your story working though, and Daniel cooperating! Such a rare thing :)
Huge congratulations on your Isis nom. And I sure hope it encourages you to keep writing.
(of course you have impeccable tastes. Your recs are amazing - I think a good chunk of my falling for this fandom was the fault of your recs)

I'm a little anxious about Daniel's cooperation so far! It makes me wonder what he's planning for later.
I'm so pleased you like the recs. And if I can take the blame for sucking you into SG-1 and getting you started in writing our lovely team, I'll do it gladly and proudly!

Oh, definitely. Though, I'm not sure whether it will be to your taste, it's a gen story at heart, but is simultaneously a very shippy story (um, it's a bit impossible to explain). But I've still got some substantial editing and rewriting on it.
Oh, point, a cooperating Daniel is a little scary - you never know what he's plotting.

I don't think I can give you all the blame, but you definitely deserve some of it :) And, well, I'm rather grateful.
